Call for Solutions for Planetary Sustainability
 

TOPIC: Sustainable Silicon Valley and NASA Ames Research Center are embarking on a partnership to identify and showcase game-changing, scalable, multiple-benefits solutions that address mitigation and adaptation to climate change, water availability and other issues threatening planetary sustainability. The Showcase is a year-long project, authorized by a formal Space Act Agreement, to solicit, review, publicize and showcase solutions that can scale to have true impact at a planetary level.

Sustainable Silicon Valley's Call for Solutions is your opportunity to showcase your creative solutions advancing global sustainability. Your solution could be among those selected for special recognition and awards. SSV is looking for innovative ideas, realistic approaches and scalable, feasible solutions contributing to improve health and sustenance of local, regional and global environments. This is your opportunity to showcase your impactful ideas and proposed solution to really important problems.

Call for Solutions Competition Goals:

  • Bring attention to solutions that can have impact; understand their benefits and tradeoffs; create public demand for action; and, market demand for results.
  • Inspire and stimulate ambitious solutions and foster collaboration (as well as competition to market). Stimulate cross-fertilization among new and mature solutions and across industry, system and sector boundaries.
  • Create ecosystems of solutions that enable green technology to take off in a way that has impact on global systems such as climate and ocean vitality.
