TwoGo by SAP
Rideshare & Carpool App
SAP, a world’s leading business software company, has developed a new innovation that allows organizations to more effectively engage their employees in ride-sharing to work called TwoGo by SAP. Delivered over the cloud, TwoGo may be instantly rolled out across organizations, allowing employees an opportunity to be matched into carpools automatically and according to their individual preferences. The app helps facilitate better networked and more productive employees. Similarly, companies can reduce costs for corporate fleets, parking infrastructure and travel expenses.
TwoGo features unique capabilities to maximize accessibility and help drive employee participation in a company’s ride-sharing program. The application matches up employees who are looking to share rides based on their preferred timing, location and other factors. The cloud-based software employs Nokia’s Here mapping technology and provides automatic notifications to passengers of any delays so that it’s unnecessary for the driver to text or make phone calls while driving.
Since deploying the ride-sharing app internally in 2011, SAP has eliminated 671,000 miles of driving and avoided 154 tons of greenhouse gas emissions. In April 2013, TwoGo by SAP was made publicly available to external organizations who want to reduce fuel consumptions and maintenance costs, and better engage employees. The versatile innovation is usable by companies of all sizes and on various mobile devices, the web and calendar applications.
“TwoGo by SAP is another great example of how our innovations help the world run better. We’ve combined our mobile and cloud technologies into a carpooling solution to help provide immediate economic, environmental and social benefits to companies and their employees,” said Peter Graf, Chief Sustainability Officer, SAP AG.
“TwoGo helps people and businesses save money and greenhouse gas emissions, but also connects people more closely with each other and with the company they work for. It has been designed around employees with one single objective in mind: create the most effective, intuitive and beautiful experience possible.”
