Bruce Naegel has been working in the sustainability field for the last 10 years. The start of that career was with a three-person team that created tools to show how to configure Veritas storage software to save energy in the data center. As part of that effort, various articles were published in online journals like Greenbiz. He also spoke at industry conferences. The most recent effort is at Sustainable Silicon Valley, where he spearheads SSV’s metrics group in support of the Net Positive initiative. Here, he has led audits and programs to provide data for policy decisions for the Air District. A good part of his career has been as Program or Product Manager of various hardware and software products, including electric vehicles. He is a board member of Carbon Free Mountain View, an advocacy group for Community Choice Energy. This group helped launch Silicon Valley Clean Energy. He has a BS in Biomedical Engineering and has been certified in proficiency in PEER (Performance Excellence in Energy Renewal). He also has an active blog presence on sustainablesv.org.
