SSV Partners with Tru Earth
SSV’s Sustainable Life program has partnered with Tru Earth, a Vancouver-based provider of innovative Eco-Strips laundry detergent and other interesting products. They are a self-described movement (@TruEarthMovement and #TruEarthMovement) not afraid to get dirty and make a video about getting clean. Eco-Strips are super-concentrated, hypoallergenic strips you tear apart and put in your usual liquid detergent space. The low suds formula works across all kinds of machines, including HE.
The advantages of the Tru Earth approach are apparent from the packaging. A pack of 32 loads ships in a 6×8″ envelope and saves one big plastic jug (and the transport fuel) per package. The pre-measured strips “melt” in the wash and leave no trace.
How well do they work? Great After a dozen loads, I can attest to appreciating the mindlessness of the pre-measured part and not noticing a difference with liquid detergent. No muss, no fuss, just clean clothes.
