Elan Scheinman is the Vice-Chair and Secretary of the Board for Sustainable Silicon Valley. Since leaving the corporate world, housing and environmental technology has been a passion. At SSV, he has taken a leadership role in its strategic vision including Sustainable Silicon Valley’s Net Positive Bay Area Initiative plus the effort to more directly impact our local community through grant-funded work.

Elan is currently a Managing Partner of Primavera Partners and focuses on tech, real estate, and social impact investments. He also serves in the City Council-appointed role of Vice Chair of the Redwood City Housing and Human Concerns Committee. Elan was a pioneer in the Explosive Detection industry during a tenure that lasted over 25 years, which included two successful start-ups and a consulting business.
